The proposed declaration and petition of grievances was amended after a meeting of the Working Group by adding a clause demanding new comprehensive environment protections and new regulatory powers for the EPA.

More specific language regarding President Clinton's proposed plan to grant mortgage relief to homeowners with underwater home loans and a moratorium on foreclosures.

Of the 20, at least 16,17, & 18 seem new and consistent with most of the OWS thinking (sort of a concensus, I guess). The others seem kind of like the same old leftist stuff. Honestly though, just for #16 & #17, because they are so monumentally important, I could put up with all of the others that I do not agree with.

You want them to restrict your freedom more?

We believe we are in this mess because of deregulation starting with the repeal of Glass-Steagull and it only went down hill from there. Had someone been regulating the mortgage backed securities markets, we might not be on the verge of a revolution. I was out there today and we better stop complaining and do something to redress these grievances of the vast majority of people.
