I would love to see the movement focus more concisely on the theme of accountability.. by corporate execs, companies and congress. Imagine the power of everyone carrying the same sign. "ACCOUNTABILITY". Much more than that dilutes the message.

I'm away this week but hope to be in NYC this weekend and carrying supplies.

Now this is intelligent. As I posted on a list of demands...

You're really desperate for Occupy Wall Street to become meaningless, aren't you? Way to go expanding demands from financial sector corruption and its adverse impacts to everything you can think of save perhaps the kitchen sink.

Not at all. If you think the movement is clear in its message right now though, you have a bit of arrogance to overcome, and perhaps a bit of anger as well since you would rather attack my intelligence rather than acknowledging the fact that I, in principal, support what is going on. Perhaps it is you who is trying to fracture the movement. Quite frankly I question if you are a part of the movement. Perhaps your goal is to just complicate things to where cohesion is not possible. I'll still be there this weekend. I'm not going to let the sowers of doubt stop me.

When I wrote "now this is intelligent," I wasn't being sarcastic! I think your suggestion makes a great deal of sense.

I guess my phrasing, "as I posted on a list of demands" didn't make it clear enough that my subsequent commentary was pulled from a different post, a response to precisely the sort of laundry list of demands you're suggesting isn't a good idea.

Oh well.

Accountability means... New regulations for trading?

Sometimes less is more. Until congress officially recognizes the movement and wants to do something about it, "accountability" suffices. They know what the issues are already. There is nothing that hasn't been said a thousand times before. It's just that now people are in the streets and they can't ignore the call any longer. One word as one voice until congress actually wants to negotiate, then "demands" can be articulated.
