A flagrant abuse of power is exactly what it is. And the buck stops at the desk of Obama. But is it really a surprise? As we wend our way towards tyranny the abuses will become much more intense. It does not matter which party controls the presidency....the outcome is the same. The US government at all levels is out of control. Want your government back? Read what Thomas Jefferson had to say.

And who will get tossed under the bus? "The agency blamed low-level employees, saying no high-level officials were aware." Now there is a pile of pure crap.

This is a flagrant abuse of power. This is wrong on so many levels...So when the IRS is overseeing Obamacare next year, can they deny health care to conservatives if they so desire or find another way to punish you if they don't like your views or ideology?. Can they target individuals or groups for whatever reason they want? Since the IRS will have ALL of your personal medical info next year, can they use that info to punish you. This is the start of tyranny when a gov't agency can harass and punish a group based on their political views, especially an agency with so much far reaching power and punitive power as the IRS. The IRS becomes the gestapo of our new corrupt America...more thug mentality in our federal govt. This time it's the high powerful office of Treasury.

And for those of you that like the idea of the IRS harassing conservative groups, just remember that there will come a time when a democrat isn't running things and the other party is controlling the thugs. No matter your ideology, this is tyranny and must be fully investigated. Our forefathers are turning over in their graves.

They should have nailed them earlier and harder. But, then you might not have got paid.

Abuse of government power is bad until its directed against people you disagree with.

Dark money is dark money but you will defend it providing you agree with it's politics.

That is ridiculous ,if they were targeting liberal groups it would be just as bad, you act like Tea Party is out to get everyone and because of that they deserve to be the victim of abuse if government power.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Not at all. What's ridiculous is your crying. You aren't a victim. The Tea Party is not composed of victims. What's the money behind the Tea Party?

Yep.

And if you cry loud enough and long enough then you might get lucky enough to convince people to hand over all of that to Turbo, yeah?

It's still abuse of power whether you like the tea party or not, you're nothing but a hypocrite.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

You are nothing but a right wing shill. The only hypocrisy here is yours. Lemme 'splain how that works. I have repeatedly slammed alleged liberal actions. You on the other hand, pick and choose. I understand.

It might cut into your pay.

Use of ART5 will end gov abuse. It is not gov, it is the rule gov must follow to empower the people to be" the rightful masters of the congress and the courts."

With preparatory amendment there is no chance of a runaway convention and every chance of enforcing the constitution.

Personally I think Obama is as corrupt as Nixon was.

As I said before: Obama knows the tricks that Nixon knew. Be aware of the happenings and beware of the Jubjub bird.
