How would you stop people from bartering their resources?

And how would you allocate resources for bigger projects?

Seems to me like there are many questions that have been omitted by proponents of such a system.

I have no clue what the zeitgeisters think (expect those who think that people will be uninterested in barter and so on).

For myself, I would say that there is no reason to stop people from bartering personal objects. Some objects might function like books you lend from a library. How do you stop people from bartering the books they lend? Well, most people understand that its a bad idea. There might be some type of "fee" and the items might be tagged and so on.

When it comes to bigger projects, well, there was some threads about using individual and project budgets. That would allow people and projects to pool resources.
