I read online that protestors came up with "bank transfer day" in which they are asking the 99% to switch from a big bank to smaller banks and credit unions. If the central idea is that big financial institutions have politcal power then switching to a (regulated) credit union doesnt fix the problem, it's diverting it. Even through regulation its still a power switch. You have to fix the problem, not just put a pretty patch on. Hit politics where its hurts. In voting. That is my suggestion. If we as a society vote these political strong holds into office or vote for representatives who electe these strongholds then we as a society need to take that responsibilty. It would be more effective to not vote out of lack of understanding than vote in the wrong persons. Understand the issue before you propose to fix it. :)
NOW HEAR THIS: Corporate Tall by VOLTFACE - a song about Wall Street. Wonderfully appropriate! Its the Anthem we needed!
