Trolls unite!

Help us out and buy this wonderful set of CDs!

I got mine by USPS just yesterday.

We need some occupy punk rock damn it (or at least some punk/indie fusion type of shit, or maybe some punk/rap) ... what's with this nostalgia for folk music anyway :)

Like, Tony Morello's acoustic routine was awesome, but I still prefer rage against the machine. Folk music, great when all you have is a few guitars, but when you have electricity and a recording studio, get the punk on.

Bravo re http://musicforoccupy.org/ + LOL & liking the gist of your point and post !!! Don't leave out the riffs or the beats, dude !! Much of my personal politics originated in 'Punk and Dance Culture' & thus : -

Ditto "get the punk on" ...

[-] 0 points by Odin (583) 12 years ago

If i could suffer throught all that, "...punk rock," certainly you could buy some 'good' music kid.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Gd'afternoon kidz!!

This set of CDs is still very much available, and still dirt cheap!!!!

I got my set in the real live USPS mail the other day and it sounds great so far and I've only got through the first CD!!!

Buy a set today and help out OWS!

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 12 years ago

That's a great idea shooz as a way to support this movement. thanks

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

I had hoped so, but it seems I'm the only that admits to buying one......:(

C'mon kidz, buy one for Dad for Fathers day...........:)

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 12 years ago

I was kind of hoping the kiddies would buy me something for Father's Day. The itunes app for the album is not working, only for the singles, so I bought a single for now. You're one heluva salesman. I guess I was wrong, you can make a great contribution to this struggle w/o having to be running around NYC. I'm learning shooz. Now it's your turn to keep challenging our fellow posters to do more. Don't be surprised if they get pissed at you though. lol

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

It'll be worth a few karma points, to get one sold to every poster here........:)

I was old fashioned, I ordered the CDs. I like to rip them myself.

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 12 years ago

I have trouble keeping track of CDs, tapes and all that stuff, so i was happy when itunes came along. My last purchase was Forever Young. Yes, I will donate 1 karma point to you for every album sold. I'm leaving for AK tomorrow, and expect to be taking my 16 mo. old granddaughter for walks into town. I will play the Occupy album on the way, but I am going to hold you directly responsible if she turns into a radical, and demands social and economic justice. :-)

Your regularly scheduled argument is being temporarily paused, so that we can bring you this important message from Planet Earth.

Shut up for a minute and buy the CDs!!!

This CD is guaranteed to be nonpartisan ( I think) and devoid of conspiracy theories.

All proceeds go to the leaderless organization that has provided us with a convenient place to bark at each other and the moon.

So please, Won't you help by purchasing this marvelous collection of music??

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 12 years ago

That's the spirit shooz. A great advert on the.... take charge.... but lighter side....and a reminder for us all to pause.... take stock....and remember that we are all (almost) here for the same reason. We'll pull the swords out of our sheaths tomorrow. In the meantime...buy some fucking CDs if you care about this struggle we are in.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Looks like I'll have to think of a few new ones tomorrow.........:)

Perhaps an appeal to the trolls?

They use the site too.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Here's how to use your computer to directly support OWS!

Unfortunately I missed that.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

Good idea - get the music going and have people ask where you got it. May well lead to deeper discussion and act as an outreach to more of the public.

Music I love it. It can cross so many boundary's. It can open so many hearts and minds to possibilities as well as to truths.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

It's all good......................:)

Buy one and help support OWS!

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

I hear they make fantastic Fathers Day gifts.........:)

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

A piece of history while it was happening. A collectors item.

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 12 years ago

If you gotta be a shill...this is the kind of shill to be. I'm totally with you on this one. Thanks again.

[-] 0 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 12 years ago

I have nothing against protest music but music without vocals should not be overlooked. Words and lyrics do not matter in certain senarios such as modern day protests, the strip club and the ballet. It's the rhythm that speaks, it's the drone that comes from the middle of the earth that speaks loudest, not the drones from the sky. Pots and pans and diggeridoos are the sounds of the new world.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

Agree - have you ever Heard the Indian drum song? I heard a performance when I was in grade school. Blood stirring heart pounding experience of percussion.

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 12 years ago

Don't know if I've heard that in particular but I love percussion and drone music. Doctors actually recommend playing the diggeridoo to deal with sleep apnea. I've been meaning to get one.

Music is an incredible thing.
