Something I do not understand is how most of you were the one bashing and blaming bush for every problem under the sun, and now there is no accountability for the current president.

When Obama was sworn into office democrats had held both the house and senate since 2006, they held it up until fall 2010. In (coming up on) four years under Obama's watch we have spent more than bush did in eight years. Was nearly two years not enough time to do something? To at least slow down spending? Or making this economy more conducive for businesses to conduct business? Or how about the transparency he promised upon election?

One theory as to why people wont place blame on Obama is that the very people who labeled the tea party, "neocons", republicans and so on racist for calling out Obama on lies and faild policy, are scared of the label themselves.

Could someone maybe shed some light? Can someone really answer that question? And since i havent flamed, insulted or anything like that can i not be banned for asking a question?

Obama is about as (un)accountable as every president before him. Where did you get the idea that tea-partiers have been labeled neocons? That term comes out of the 1997 Project for a New American Century, which focused on utilizing American military power for corporate gain. Look at the people behind that: http://www.newamericancentury.org/

You want to lay blame? This is a long process, 40 years at least.

Reagan cut taxes on the rich and raised taxes on the working classes. Then he spent like a drunken sailor, tripling the national debt. Increased tax revenue from all the deficit spending is used by conservatives to "prove" that tax cuts work. They conveiently "forget" about all the tax increases and deficit spending.

Clinton bears HUGE responsibility for the economic collapse with the repeal of the Glass Steagall Act and NAFTA, which eviscerated US manufacturing and exacerbated illegal immigration.

Bush II was president in name only. He never won an election. The first was handed to him by the Supreme Court, which did not allow a recount. The second was a coup courtesy of Diebold. It's the only time in history that exit polls were worng. The Bush II government was run by Halliburton CEO Cheney on behalf of the Carlyle Group, the Military Industrial Complex, the Corporate Financial Complex and the Energy Conglomerates.

Obama has continued the Bush II Legacy by escalating Afghanistan, expanding global military action, kissing the ass of the Corporate Financial Complex, maintaining Guantanamo, etc.

And don't forget congress. Current approval rating: 6%. Democrats and Republicans both feed at the same trough.

I don't blame Bush for everything. Only giving tax breaks to the rich and starting an unnecessary war in Iraq because Saddam insulted his daddy.

This years east coat Earthquake was said to be due to an old Fault Line that Democrats are familiar with called "Bushes Fault"

you know it's standard policy for "democrats today" (because they really were not all That bad 40 years ago) at least not anything like the what party has evolved into. Anyway what was I saying? oh yes... the Standard policy for a democrat is to blame all his/her errors on republicans. They have learned the majority of this country is clueless and will believe anything.

ok, so how many will come back with "no, thats what republicans do " blah blah balh.

here is a news flash for you. Nothing major that happens, happens over night. every market crash and every war and every Anything you blame Bush for just might have been initiated well before he ever took office. ever think of that?

you certainly would agree that the economy looked Great during the Clinton years right? as IF it instantly grew roses when he walked into the white house. umnnn end result of Reaganomics my friends, even a dork nosed saxophone playing clown could come dancing in on its success. just before sending woodworking jobs to china then bundling up morgatges to be Inflated on the stock market. uhh YEa sure, that 80,000 home you just bought is now worth 200,000 :) go get a 2nd mortgage your rich. THAT market crash and the dot.com crash BOTH happened shortly after bush took office and of course the dems who Caused them Both blamed the current admin. and the Majority of Americans, the non-thinking half? bought it. still today we hear about how Every war since 1812 was Bushes fault, the economy the Dems ruined is Bushes fault, hell even hurricane Katrina was his fault wasn't it?

I haven't met anyone at OWS who holds Obama or the Democrats blameless for the circumstances we are in. Most people who voted for Obama did so because they believed he would institute sweeping social programs which turned out not to be the case. As it turned out Obama was no liberal but rather a moderate centerist, rather a typical Chicago pol. Little could or should have been expected of him or a Democratic congressional majority which was anything but liberal, much less radical.

Undoubtedly at least a very substantial minority of OWS activists may vote for Obama, but I seriously doubt if any OWS activist will be ringing door bells or knocking on doors for Obama. We'll be too busy organizing occupations.

Obama should be camping with us at Liberty Square. Leader who is left behind is not a leader anymore.

He never was a leader. Obama is a representative of the corporate financial complex.

The questions have been answered many times. Obama is spending to get us out of the previous administrations' blunders. Two years is not enough when there is so much opposition to moving forward. Label? Obama should have behaved like Republicans and just did what he should have done without trying to make friends with them. His policy did not fail. He has accomplished more than many presidents before him. Not enough....somewhat of a let down. Who cares what Republicans think. They are the racist party. Lead the country is all we want. We, the 99%
