Forum Post: A question of simple arithmetic

I'm really wondering who started this 'we are the 99%', because I have been following the OWS movement closely and did a little calculation and research myself, and found some staggering results. In the United States alone there are 308,745,538 people, and so therefore through basic logic and arithmetic the '99%' would be 305,658,082 people, but to this date i have not been able to find any more than ten thousand or so protesters, which when plugged into the same basic ratio equation, renders this movement a simple .003% of the population of the United States, when I factored in the global number of protesters. So can someone please explain to me how you believe you are the 99%? SIncerely, John Galt.
