I have asked this question in many many places now, and I'm having great difficulty getting a response, so I think I need to go to the source. I won't say I agree with the protest, but I am not trying to belittle or disparage here, I don't like protests, so my question seems to be best summed up with: If I were a person in charge right now, what would I have to do to end the protests? What would bring about a peaceful resolution to this conflict?
But overall the answer is that it has to be endured for the next 8 months?
Well I have to say, thats the best response I've gotten, but do you think even a small portion of that would be possible to achieve? Or if it was, isnt there still the question of what would be considered good faith? But most importantly, a protest is a harmful thing, and like a war, the more it drags on the more harmful it is. Are the protests really necessary to carry out the aims the declaration outlines?
You would have to wait until after the National General Assembly in July where the 876 delegates will finalize the List of Grievances (as per the 1st Amendment). Dealing with The List in good faith would end the protest.
If you wished to suspend the street level action today, you would fund the NGA and the elections of delegates, transparently, as per the Declaration.
