We the people should demand a mandatory National Living Wage with yearly cost of living increases. Power to the People ! John Q. Public
I've worked as a manager for a Fortune 500 company. I know how staffing works and let me promise you, our company will # not # have more money to spend on payroll simply because some Democrat raised the minimum wage.
Let payroll budget = P. Let average wages = W. The number of hours worked you can put on the schedule are calculated by P / W.
If someone raises the minimum wage, guess what happens. If you had 80,000 worked hours before, you might have just 60,000 worked hours now. You're paying the same payroll expense for less help.
Democrats. The people who act like they care about the average worker, who really just want to become popular by acting like they do.
A National Living Wage....Not a minimum wage. Agreed! From my calculations, that would be at least $14.50/Hour - 40 Hours/Week. Roughly $30,000/Year before taxes.
Heellll yeeeaaasssss someone besides me gets it!!!!!! a floating minimum wage evaluated quarterly pegged to inflation and cost. this is the only way to prevent regression.
