The interesting PROPOSED LIST OF DEMANDS on this forum is very specific, it seems to look into which details of the system to change in order to bring an improvement of the situation for the general population.
In my opinion, a broader view can be usefull as well.
So the agenda posted here is less specific, and meant more to summarize general directions of positively constructive change.
GENERAL AGENDA OF CHANGE:
Establish a true democracy, with the possibility of direct influence of the people on everday decisions in the government.
All institutions, industries, banks and other businesses exist to serve the people, NOT the other way around. An environment in which this basic principle applies is to be found.
The government serve the state and the state consists of the people. This means the governement are employees of the people and must function as such.
Everyone has the fundamental right to live in a way in which she/he need not fear for homelessness, starvation or medical neglection.
These are just a few points which could be of great importance to achive.
We are the 99%. Let's roll.
Businesses exist to make profit. The end. They only serve people through offering reputable goods. Ambition will not be throttled in order to serve the 'people' who want everything for nothing. True democracy will never exist in this great country. A Republic fits best, the masses are swayed to easy by temper... as we see here with this movement. No one has the right to a home for free, food for free, or medical care. You must be willing to work hard, and earn in this great country. It would be a tragedy to throttle ambitious individuals and true intellect, merely to give to those who only expect, those who only want without action.
"Businesses exist to make profit." Not a problem as long as the people profit from the businesses as well. "Ambition will not be throttled in order to serve the 'people' who want everything for nothing." A roof over the head, food, and medical care are far from everything. Those are basic needs. Ambition to reach more stays. "You must be willing to work hard, and earn in this great country." So why do people like me work on processes and technologies which decrease the need for human labour? Not everyone who is willing to work hard to earn money will find the appropriate job, simply because manual labour will continue to become less. Also creative labour with the intent to earn money will continue to decrease, because technology gives bright heads tools which increase their capacities - thus helping businesses to achieve more with less people. Please understand that full employment is unrealistic and will become more unrealistic as technology progresses. This is wonderful, since the people who become free from work can spend their time with other activities. One of those may just be spending time and energy figuring out on how to improve our society. Our western world is rich in material goods, but poor in social development. Every head we have more to help us progress in those areas which can not be paid by money is a great gain indeed.
