Anyone else noticing the latest GOP talking point from Limbaugh? He keeps asking his audience why the American public has no problem with some movie star or some jock making 30 million dollars a year but don't seem to like the idea of a CEO making the same type of big money. Well Rush, It's real simple. You see, Tom Hanks is not the one trying to steal my pension or sending American jobs to the Philippines, that would be my CEO at Verizon trying to do that. If Tom Hanks ever tries to do these things to me, I promise you I'll be mad at him too.
The other thing is the phrase "union thugs." Limbaugh must use that phrase at least a dozen times a day on his show. It's funny but he never uses a phrase like "billionaire sugardaddy" or "CEO selling American jobs down the river" or "soulless corporate raider." I'd bet the American people would like to start hearing some phrases like that from him.
It's been 45 years since "union thug" had significant meaning. That was because the Mob had infiltrated the Teamsters to plunder their retirement fund.
Also, in what is left of Limbaugh's drug addled brain, the Ayn Rand books are non-fiction. I'd pay $100 to see a high-res scan of that brain. Plaque and necrotic cells....
The key to making your fair share is negotiation. Tom Hanks does, the Ceo does, the union does. If you don't you're probably getting screwed.
I praise you for having the stomach to listen to the bloviator
Pulp fiction is what you call it.
Tune out. There's a war happening, and we're all in it together.
