The original title. I did, however, do a sigh thingy when I read the other comments and said, "Oooookkkkk, fine."
I read his other thread too. I just didn't have the heart to tell him that I did not misplace my anger. I know exactly where it is. lol
LOL - I would never doubt your tracking abilities - aAHhahahahahaahahe

Thanks, great link.
The gun thing was an attention-grab.
Money out of politics is the root cause we all need to focus upon.

I, along with many others, were deemed "too political". Thought the 99% Declaration was decent: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/99_Percent_Declaration
So let me ask everyone this: Who decided that "this wasnt political"?
And who decided that working both sides of the same coin wasnt a good idea?
Intersting pitfalls built into the common themes...
Technically-it's all political. The difference is in not supporting any one candidate. That's what happened. In an election cycle no less.
You guys would have been just fine OTP had there not been a bunch of shit on the forum. When it shifted to suppression of any information and there was nothing-----not one word----on ALEC it was shit. You know it was shit.
There were a good half dozen times that could have been met in the middle but that wasn't the objective. It isn't a question of working both sides of the coin, it is a question of whether someone intends to rope me in to doing their dirty work. This is only beneficial for the candidate in question. It would be much cheaper to harness that kind of energy. That's cool if you want to buy into it. I do not. You may still be idealistic. I am not. I demand a little more from candidates than feel good vague platforms.
Im not talking about the forum. The news section is good to get an idea of upcoming action in NYC, but after that its just typical internet forum stuff. A few good conversations, but not exactly like people are using this to organize.
I would have loved to see pledges and political stunts up the yahoo, but again "This isnt political" was always a short "block" away.
"There were a good half dozen times that could have been met in the middle" what do you mean by this?
I mean that there were countless debates where the other individual or ID would have a knipshit and could have garnished support for the issue but chose instead to make it about a party platform. I told 'em that all the crap could have been avoided and that the support would have been there from the get go.
I know that it went clear across the board. Top things that I never thought that I would ever do---defend Scalia.
You know why the occupy broke up down state? Squabbles with the Libertarians.
What about the anarchists?
And then the reform vs rebuild question.
And then the local politicians deciding they are a problem.
Ah, the joys of an "all inclusive" movement.
Isnt that quite interesting? "All inclusive Movement".... So what are the goals? If its simply keeping with the "The shit is fucked up" message, it works.
Once it gets deeper than that, all bets are off. Too many opinions on too many things. Cant even get the registered Dems to decide if its reform or rebuild. Throw in anarchists and libertarians, and a bunch of people who are there simply to hang out and have fun, and we have a real shit sandwich on our hands.
J? That is actually the best post that I have read in a long time.
I find that extremely insulting to my other classics, such as "The Masses Are Asses Pt II"... jk :)
His point on "isms" in the TYT video is spot on. Its all about the people becoming complacent, not the system.
And everyone in occupy wanted to disavow anything that 99% put out, claiming not to be something decent, like the convention in Philly.
Does anyone have that list of demands that 99% put out a couple years ago?
It's gone full circle.
Back to one cause; one focus; one raison d'etre.
Maybe I need to mention guns?
Bump.
Builder!!!! what a cheap attempt to get puerile interest - ummm - that was it wasn't it?
LOL. It seems to be the topic du jour.
I get all exited about these little "finds" and nobody bothers looking.
Cheap, yes. Necessary? Maybe. heheheheh
LOL - carry on soldier
