99 Shelley Lion

A seller of secrets. A proprietor of sin. We have our own corruptions. We struggle within. Struggle of the heart, struggle of the mind. Struggle through this life... and the plutocracy of this time.

Come all you ninety nine. The revolution of the time. Rise from your slumber. Like the Shelley lion. For we must perservere. We must carry on. No matter the hardships. We are never alone.

We once walked a road. So lonely and alone. Was I the only one... that thought things were wrong? We have found hunger and we have found shame. Alas, rejoice. For growth is not in vain.

Come all you ninety nine. The revolution of the time. Rise from your slumber. Like the Shelley lion. For we must perservere. We must carry on. No matter the hardships. We are never alone.

Look forward to suffering. Look forward to the pain. For it will be a new suffering, that will end with gain. A new life and a new time. A new world.. of the risin lion. And we are the Anonymous. We are the ninety nine.

Come all you ninety nine. The revolution of the time. Rise from your slumber. Like the Shelley lion. For we must perservere. We must carry on. No matter the hardships. We are never alone.

judasschwarz@gmail.com if ya wanna talk. better do it soon though. i have 14 months to do on state very very soon i believe.

(sigh)-This is the Big Enchilada-The biggest one to come Along for Hundreds of Years.Everyone must remain Vigilant because the Onset of Difficulties could be upon us Suddenly-and Massively. We could all very well Awaken One Day to Discover that One Third of All Sea Creatures are washed up Dead on the Beach-to be joined by all the rest Straightaway.Or,Oil Prices could begin Spiking So High that Nobody On Earth could Afford to buy it,at Which Time we will Suffer another Crisis in Capitalism.Maybe then it will Die At Last! Meanwhiles we must BUILD COMMUNITY Like There's No Tomorrow! I am elated now because I have just Recently Discovered a Way to help People in my Community who are Even Worse Off than I am.Evil Prevails When Good People Do Nothing-But TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE IT!

What is this way of helping others that are worse off than you? Are you talking about OWS in general or something specific?

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Your enthusiasm and energy is great. Thanks for posting.

Good start on planning for the worst and hoping for the best - you will not be caught flatfooted in the spotlight like a frightened deer in this manner/approach.

Excellent. Welcome to the forum Chris. For everyone else:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Masque_of_Anarchy

"Ye are many, they are few." You nailed it, man. Again, welcome aboard.

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Thank you sir/ma'am. I am glad you "feel" it. And you welcome is most kind.

[-] 2 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

You're welcome. It's always a pleasure to learn something new. I had never heard of that Shelly poem but it is absolutely appropriate to this forum, and OWS. I'm a guy, by the way. 'Sir' isn't necessary, I feel old enough as it is, heh heh heh.

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Yes I can relate to your reference on age, all though I don't care to expose mine unless specifically requested by many. I think I first discovered "The Masque of Anarchy" a few days ago on a Facebook posting shared by Anonymous. It stirred something within me I guess. That and the pressures of facing time and the losses I have experienced in recent months and even the past year. As far as the sir/ma'am reference goes I just prefer to address people with respect.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

I knew you were just being respectful and it's much appreciated. Coincidentally, I was just discussing the subject of respect (actually the lack of) with the guy below, DKAtoday on another thread about an hour ago. And sorry to hear of your recent losses, something both DK and I can relate to, I'm sure. Good luck on your upcoming incarceration, maybe the case will get thrown out.

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Respect must be the platform upon which we interact with each other, even if we're interacting with the 1% we must strive to maintain respect I believe. A simple understanding of the basics of the science of psychology, genetics enacted upon by environment, should be the platform by witch that respect comes from. My humble opinion, as humbly as I can express it anyway.

[-] 1 points by peacehurricane (293) 11 years ago

Enact the environment with platform shoes, we meet what is in us and witch or not you may want to get dictionary.

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Can you please rephrase your statement if you desire a comment from me. I did not understand.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

You sound like a good man, Chris. Respect is in short supply nowadays so it's always a pleasure to meet someone, albeit virtually, that still has some. Hope you stick around a while, or return after your 'stint.' I'll warn you, tho, respect is also in short supply here as well (at times), but you sound like you're no stranger to that, so it probably won't be a problem.

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

No stranger at all. The pain of shame and lack of respect that I have faced has ultimately humbled me. This is growth. It is as much as I inwardly desired and prayed for for a time (two for's = bad english?). Careful what you wish for ya know. That friction created by disrespect, shame, and other such touch experiences is the friction that refines us. I believe that the purpose of existence is that very refinement of consciousness that I just spoke of. However, what I know and believe about the truth is always subject to change. That last statement I learned from a group of people called NA (Narcotics Anonymous). None of this statement is meant to convince anyone that they should believe as I do. I simply share where I'm at and the experiences that led me there.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

A very thought-provoking comment. And a good quote from NA.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Respect can be easily given - and then there are those who would shit on it - you will come across them as you interact on this forum. Be true. And the shitters will be removed - sooner or later.

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

I agree completely. It is so easy to give and you do get shit on for giving it, especially in some of the circles that I've traversed. As you stated though, there is hope.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Be true to your beliefs - take time to explain ( fully ) your position/thoughts. Those who will hear - WILL - those who will not - are beyond your reach and may at a later time ( in their solitude ) reflect upon what you have offered - and at that point may actually look to make a personal growth/change..

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Yes the seeds will have been planted. Beautifully put thank you.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

You are welcome - and thank you - I am very new to sharing of thoughts.

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Me too I think. I think that I've rarely been involved with much of anything that had to do with sharing. Everything is about consuming, taking, the necessity of self preservation, and just in general selfishness. I, and even we, hurt because of how the environment we live in seems to produce this in people.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

You have had a very rough road ( by the sound of it ) to bring you here at this place to find that life is more then self. A very strange road indeed to have brought you here of all places to grow.

[-] 2 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

I believe that for the most part, if not completely, that I am responsible for my actions. I believe in the power of choice. I chose to behave in certain ways and thus received certain results. Many walk a hard road due to no choices of their own. I however, know that I made poor choices. In this knowing, I find acceptance and not judgement of other people.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

In this you find personal growth - we all are responsible for the choices we make in life - that can be the hardest lesson to learn - it - in the final choice - was your choice to make - perhaps at that moment you ( I ) were not ready for making that choice - do we die because of that? - or do we try to learn from that - and do better as we go forward. Can we as well offer insight to others that may help them think about the road that is ahead. In this way - do we try to do better for our earlier failures?

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

My name is Chris Hancock btw.. talk trash if you want to... everyone else does

That is the best advice you have to offer? am I confused with purpose of this forum? Better is in making progressive forward motion.

[-] 0 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

I agree Yoda, better is making progressive forward action as you have stated. Thanks for your input sir/ma'am. How are you today?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Shelley lion ??????????????????????

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Well please excuse my error that you addressed above. Yes I am very new here. Percy Bysshe Shelley - The Masque of Anarchy

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

And the shelley lion is???????????? As anarchy is greatly misunderstood - even by those who feel that they are anarchists.

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

I do not claim to be an anarchist. I do not claim to have knowledge beyond what is on the wikipedia article about the "The Masque of Anarchy". However, I know that to me, the Shelley lion is the 99%. Thank you for asking and noticing sir/ma'am. How are things for you today if you don't mind me asking?

[-] 1 points by peacehurricane (293) 11 years ago

What do you claim to be, so where did you say this shelley lion comes in? ALL ONE not by chance or %.

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

I simply claim to be a person, nothing more. Read all the posts to find out about the Shelley lion. As for your last statement, I do not understand it.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

I have been better and I have been worse - just had a flu week ( more like 12 days ) let me leave you with some food for thought. I found this a while back - you may find it interesting:

What is anarchism?

Anarchism is the movement for social justice through freedom. It is concrete, democratic and egalitarian. It has existed and developed since the seventeenth century, with a philosophy and a defined outlook that have evolved and grown with time and circumstance. Anarchism began as what it remains today: a direct challenge by the underprivileged to their oppression and exploitation. It opposes both the insidious growth of state power and the pernicious ethos of possessive individualism, which, together or separately, ultimately serve only the interests of the few at the expense of the rest.

Anarchism promotes mutual aid, harmony and human solidarity, to achieve a free, classless society - a cooperative commonwealth. Anarchism is both a theory and practice of life. Philosophically, it aims for perfect accord between the individual, society and nature. In an anarchist society, mutually respectful sovereign individuals would be organised in non-coercive relationships within naturally defined communities in which the means of production and distribution are held in common.

Anarchists, are not simply dreamers obsessed with abstract principles. We know that events are ruled by chance, and that people’s actions depend much on long-held habits and on psychological and emotional factors that are often anti-social and usually unpredictable. We are well aware that a perfect society cannot be won tomorrow. Indeed, the struggle could last forever! However, it is the vision that provides the spur to struggle against things as they are, and for things that might be.

Whatever the immediate prospects of achieving a free society, and however remote the ideal, if we value our common humanity then we must never cease to strive to realise our vision. If we settle for anything less, then we are little more than beasts of burden at the service of the privileged few, without much to gain from life other than a lighter load, better feed and a cosier berth.

Ultimately, only struggle determines outcome, and progress towards a more meaningful community must begin with the will to resist every form of injustice.

In general terms, this means challenging all exploitation and defying the legitimacy of all coercive authority. If anarchists have one article of unshakeable faith then it is that, once the habit of deferring to politicians or ideologues is lost, and that of resistance to domination and exploitation acquired, then ordinary people have a capacity to organise every aspect of their lives in their own interests, anywhere and at any time, both freely and fairly.

Anarchism encompasses such a broad view of the world that it cannot easily be distilled into a formal definition. Michael Bakunin, the man whose writings and example over a century ago did most to transform anarchism from an abstract critique of political power into a theory of practical social action, defined its fundamental tenet thus: In a word, we reject all privileged, licensed, official, and legal legislation and authority, even though it arise from universal suffrage, convinced that it could only turn to the benefit of a dominant and exploiting minority, and against the interests of the vast enslaved majority.

Anarchists do not stand aside from popular struggle, nor do they attempt to dominate it. They seek to contribute to it practically whatever they can, and also to assist within it the highest possible levels both of individual self-development and of group solidarity. It is possible to recognise anarchist ideas concerning voluntary relationships, egalitarian participation in decision-making processes, mutual aid and a related critique of all forms of domination in philosophical, social and revolutionary movements in all times and places.

Elsewhere, the less formal practices and struggles of the more indomitable among the propertyless and disadvantaged victims of the authority system have found articulation in the writings of those who on brief acquaintance would appear to be mere millenarian dreamers. Far from being abstract speculations conjured out of thin air, such works have, like all social theories, been derived from sensitive observation. They reflect the fundamental and uncontainable conviction nourished by a conscious minority throughout history that social power held over people is a usurpation of natural rights: power originates in the people, and they alone have, together, the right to wield it.

For I am WE and the laws are far to simple in these United Sates. Harm no other and Pursue to define Liberty HOWEVER you so choose preference toward Happily for myself To each their own

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Eh???? poetic or not - you got something to say - say it plain - perhaps after knowing how you think - your prose might be more understandable.

[-] 1 points by peacehurricane (293) 11 years ago

FREEDOM...

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Yes - as much as is possible - as long as my freedom does not stomp on yours - or anyone Else's.

[-] 1 points by peacehurricane (293) 11 years ago

That is senseless, is stomping some kind of dance I have not heard. We Freedom everything everywhere No harm intended none done.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Freedom is not without the consideration of others. Freedom without consideration of others is - what? - selfish? - irresponsible? - inconsiderate? - false? - wrong?

[-] 1 points by peacehurricane (293) 11 years ago

The consideration is for others! WE are FREE...

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Indeed, amazing.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

It is not a widely shared thought. But when you consider it came about during a time of royalty or war chiefs and the cannon fodder ( cannons not yet invented - so meat for the grinder ) - you might expect it not to get good coverage by the msm of the day ( scribes ).

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

As state earlier, I am no scholar, but I do believe that the Anonymous group and Occupy movement are an indication of or at least a lean towards the truths that were expressed in that definition of anarchism. After all, we are the 99%. Maybe I am just naive, I am, truly, new here. I also believe that even the 1% must, at least on some emotional or subconscious level, understand and relate to the concepts that where previously defined in your post.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Thx - I claim no certain knowledge - BUT - I look at intentions and goals and can see right from wrong. OWS/Occupy to this point in time has represented nothing other then the concern for the Good of ALL. Please hang around and chime in where you want - I do hope that you are a real newcomer and hope that you can withstand the attacks that the supporters of a truly healthy and prosperous society for ALL receive in their advocating for such.

[-] 1 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Thanks. Have a nice day.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

And you.

[-] 0 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Also, do you care to share what the Shelley lion is to you sir? Or would you care to share what anarchy is as you understand it?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Shared - you should have a fair description available now.

[-] 0 points by c1b3rshad3 (32) from Ramseur, NC 11 years ago

Maybe somebody could put some good art with this. I'm thinikin a lion that is rising...?
