Hey, this thing - I'm depressed to admit- seems to (ironically) be losing credibility as it grows, what with the uncritical embrace of shamelessly materialistic multi-millionaire hip hop stats who drop by for photo ops and the preponderance of trustafarians.

BUT

If the movement can be taken back by mature people focused on stopping the corruption of the democratic by the disproportionate political influence of the 1%, one demand that is quite reasonable and, I think, long overdue, is a 4 day work week (for those of us lucky enough to be employed).

I agree with the 4 day workweek, I think we need to focus on financial reforms right now.

You don't know they're all trustafarians. And if someone who benefits that much from the system stands with us then I think that means something.

The photo op thing is kindof tough to take though, I agree.

Lol! Hey, I'm willing to accept either, so long as it's a 7 day week!

The movement isn't lost, don't fear my friend. The hip hop stars can come and go. Let them entertain and encourage. They aren't the movement. We are. And we aren't going to forget what we're trying to change just because a movie star drops by to chat. It won't make the economy recover, or give you your job back, or give your grandma social security that actually pays her bills. This is going to continue, and it will maintain integrity. <3

All OWSTAG is saying is we are working more now then ever before.

This is an ever increasing trend and I don;t want my children working 70 or 80 hours a weel... and the way we're headed is there!
