Forum Post: 24 hour economic shutdown to send a message to the government

I have been brainstorming like many others on different ways we can really get a message sent to the government to get some serious recognition and show the true power of the people. One idea I had was to give a months notice to everyone and say that nobody is going to buy anything for 24 hours and will need to plan around it for that date. I think it would send a message to the government that we can shut this country down economically and that we have massive support to do so. Business's would shut down for the day or if they stayed open they just simply would not have any customers. This would not be an attack on business's but an orderly way to show around the country that we have the power to take control and should be taken very seriously. Eventually if it worked we could do it once a month on a work week day to show our persistence. We need ideas like this that enable the people outside of the major cities to show their support. Please let your ideas be heard. The revolution is hear to change American life for the better. Thank you,
