Here's what they have to say :

Dear Friend,

You and I represent the vast majority of Americans -- the 99% who have been unfairly burdened by the misconduct of the wealthiest 1% who drove the world's economy over a cliff. People are no longer willing to sit idly by as politicians use their power to protect the wealthy as they cut programs that help the middle class.

For the past week, hundreds of activists have camped out in Liberty Plaza on Wall Street in NYC to protest Wall Street greed and corruption.

And soon - on October 6 - hundreds more concerned citizens will converge in Washington DC to camp out on Freedom Plaza. We are two of those people.

In fact, we are so committed to this cause that we are WALKING 200 miles (22 miles per day for 9 days) from our home in West Virginia to Washington DC.

Right now there is a media blackout of the Wall Street protest and we see no reason why the same will not be true for D.C. How many times have we heard news commentators ask "where are the liberal protestors?" Of course we are protesting all of the time -- the media just ignores us!

Because we are 56 and 57 year old grandmothers and are underemployed, uninsured cancer survivors, we hope our walk will create a media buzz along the route that will help get the word out about both of these events.

Help us spread the message -- from Liberty Plaza to Freedom Plaza -- that Americans have had enough talk and we are ready to walk the walk.

Here is how you can help:

If you can, join us at 8:00 am on Tuesday September 27 for our send-off (click here for details: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=130982976996803);

Walk with us all or part of the way (click here for a map of the route: http://www.builtfromtrash.com/WALK-THE-WALK.pdf);

If you can't join the walk, please go to http://www.builtfromtrash.com and click on the ChipIn button on the left side of the web page to donate $5, $10 or $20 bucks to help with our expenses.

And if you can do none of the above, SHARE this message on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and email!

Walk two hundred miles.

If you walk it they will come.

Slow media filth.
