Universities know that their clientele will simply borrow more so their costs have no limit.
The brightest and best, as well as the ordinary and mediocre, have been shackled by these debts.Choices in education have now been tailored to earning power instead of talent and aptitude.
Forgoing collection on all student loans should be the first policy demand.
Controls and audits on universities that accept student loans should also be under scrutiny. This would drive more money towards public instead fo private universities, but this is secondary to forgoing collection on all student loans.
