- $4 Trillion - $6 Trillion for the costs of war in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Setting aside the merits of those two wars for the moment, when -- when -- will Americans be asked to pay for those two wars?
Tea Party Republicans want to cut our health care to old people. Hey are they the new "Death Panels"??
So here we are again.
Don't want to raise the debt ceiling to pay for costs Republicans and Democrats already bought? Lets cut MediCare for Seniors. Or Let's cut education for the next generation of Americans.
Hey, how about reneging on the cost of the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?
Maybe we can cut Social Security, even though Social Security had nothing to do with the Wall Street Meltdown, the Great Recession, or the Housing Bubble.
Do you side with Tea Party slogans like "Taxed Enough Already"??? Hey how about continuing the tax cuts that George W. Bush handed out at the same time he was ballooning the budget with wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?
New separate studies by Harvard and the federal government say that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will end up costing U.S. taxpayers between $4 Trillion and $6 Trillion.
What are we going to do to pay for those 2 Wars? Have more tax cuts? Hey, I know, how about selling Yosemite and the Rocky Mountain National Parks?
How come George W. Bush fired Army Generals who said that the costs would exceed $60 billion???
How come George W. Bush handed out Tax Cuts for the first time ever in a time of war?
How come the Tea Party Idiots (TPI) refuse to now pay for the costs that enriched Republican war mongers?
Now the Tea Party in Washington DC has jacked up the Republican panty waists, and they have blocked a raise in the debt cap, even though we are not blocking future spending, the Tea Party Idiots are blocking paying of bills for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and much more.
Now we have this stupid "Sequester" that scattershot hits everyone.
How come the Rich, who have continued to do well, including the 1% that benefited mightily from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, don't want to help?
We need a War Tax. To pay the $4 Trillion to $6 Trillion of those two wars. Costs that have not been taken into account in the budgets.
Need Jobs?
Every Economist with integrity says government needs to spend more now. Not cut, or sequester cut.
We need a War Tax now. Now! *
One would think alternative political candidates would be popping up all over the place.
Instead the people who are trying to do that get called unicorn chasers.
Thats the stigma we are facing.
Yep, one would think. . . but then critical thinking and a knowledge of history seems to be vanishing from the American landscape.
