This content is user submitted and not an official statement

A seminal meeting of (R)epelican'ts at the Mackinaw Center (a proud member of the SPN), has released the results of it's presidential straw poll.

They chose phony (R)epelican't Rand Paul!! An Ayn Rand adherent and closet libe(R)topian

I don't think Stu Sandler can spin enough shit to make Rand Paul palatable.

Yeah, well, most of us didn't think we'd be seeing "right to work" around here either.

Never underestimate the SPN/ALEC network.

I may not understand the tempo of your posts in general shooz but I find Rand Paul's complete devotion to the rich getting richer to be quintessentially Republican, it has been the defining characteristic of the Republican Party for as long as I can remember.

In an effort to appear shiny and new, they adopted the teachings of Ms. Rand.

Think of them as (R)epelican'ts on methedrine.

Sounds good. I might even, with a wink and a smile, offer to chip in five bucks . . .

[-] 1 points by shooz (26721) 6 months ago

That might treat one of them to a glass of orange juice.

[-] 1 points by ZenDog (20604) from South Burlington, VT 6 months ago

O I didn't actually say I would chip in five bucks, just that I might offer . . .

say, did you know . . . ?

Vermont has an organization acting to support SLN . . .

They've taken my cousin's name. They've taken my cousin's name.

I have to think about this.

Hmmmm, Ethan Allen.........they used to make such nice furniture.

Now they're pure, 100% libe(R)tarian.

I actually know one of the people on the board - and the last time we actually spoke she was screaming.

I find that rather interesting, and entirely appropriate.

[-] 1 points by shooz (26721) 6 months ago

You didn't care for the furniture, or you discovered she was a libe(R)tarian?

You have to careful when explaining that the free market is illusory.

[-] 1 points by ZenDog (20604) from South Burlington, VT 6 months ago

Actually the relative merits or lack thereof of the mythical free market had nothing to do with it.

it is a rather long story. In fact it involves a rather long story that I told her - her screaming at me was her response to the telling.

whenever one tells the truth there will always be those who insist that somehow we must be careful

I would prefer we simply told the truth.

[-] 1 points by shooz (26721) 6 months ago

Oh, I agree...Tell the truth.

I hear a lot of yelling too...........................:)

At the same time, now you know, even in Vermont, there's an SPN entity to keep an eye or two upon.

not at all, and in fact what I just said is completely true. She is an attorney, one I happen to have met outside of her professional life, and when I went to her for some . . . professional advice . . . she became quite hysterical and began screaming. I even remember the words she gave voice to in abject hysteria.

And no, I do not usually evoke that particular response from women. I do find it gratifying to have produced it from conservative flesh.

I removed the comment you are replying to as it was just trying to goad you. Had nothing to do with the post.

[-] 1 points by ZenDog (20604) from South Burlington, VT 6 months ago

I do wish you wouldn't do that quite so often. Often people engage in discourse that is beside the point of the post, it happens and is harmless enough.

as to goading, if that is what it was then let it be seen by all for what it was and so judged entirely on the merits of what has been presented. With its deletion there is nothing left to judge.

Except perhaps the deletion itself, and as we have seen of late, there has been some harsh condemnation passed about over moderation policy, which as I understand it remains nonexistent.

If it is a BS comment - invitation to a fight - do it on dueling PM's.

I see the complaints so far as being malicious or childish. The BS has gotta stop.

People complain about attacks - real and the just waste of time comments.

Well here is an attempt to stop the BS and attacks.

Everyone was yelling how awful it was - and couldn't something be done about it.

And now that something is trying to be done about it - People ( the same people ) are complaining that the BS is being removed.

Meaning what, exactly?

You're wrong about the Detroit News. what else are you misleading folks about?

Being vague, would appear to be what you're good at.
