Independents have soured most dramatically on the tea party: Fifty-five percent oppose the movement, up from 37 percent in May 2011. It’s also opposed by 80 percent of Democrats and 23 percent of Republicans.

Well well well. News must be getting around by word of mouth in Virginia - as otherwise how would the public there finally wise up to the fact that the TP is bad news for them as living breathing individuals.

It had to start sinking in some time.

I Know - Right ? Just how many times does one need to be slapped in the face with a 2x4 before they start catching on and paying attention? Hopefully they realize that it is not just the TP of the right wing.

Ya. The whole damn party needs to be taken out.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33128) from Coon Rapids, MN 5 months ago

And some members of the Dem party as well - the rest need a serious wake-up call.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33128) from Coon Rapids, MN 5 months ago

It's is plain insanity - all of those fuckers that voted for it need to be kicked to the curb.

You can also find out if your Rep. voted for H.R.992 here. ( open the list & click on the individuals name for contact addresses to call em out )

All of these assholes have got to GO. Their names need to be spread far and wide = Corp(se)oRATists/sellouts/shills/traitors.

And just as a head up, the two D's from my state voted NO. One of them needs to go for a different reason.

OK - I am putting together a list of social media and site addresses to call out the supporters of deregulation of derivatives as well as those who supported non-labeling of GMO products.

This isn't over, It's never gonna be over, until we provide concrete incentives for this bullshit to cease.

And that isn't gonna happen until a good number of the financiers of this bullshit meet an untimely end. It's a combination of human nature and the status of where things are currently.

Just look at the effort it will take - and it should not take - to overturn Citizens United. All that has to happen is for Congress to Assert that the Supreme Court never had the authority to decide as they did - and as we see, Congress lacks the will. The first Couple of articles establish the authorities of Congress and the Court.

I think it's great the tp is losing ground, but I'm sure this is only temporary.

[-] 3 points by GirlFriday (21785) 5 months ago

Oh, it's not over by a long shot. Further, shedding the Tea Party is not going to aid the Rethuglicans. But, it will make two dollar whores like HCHC and douche bag Chris have to revise. The money behind the TP will not stop. It will have to take another form. I agree that it is temporary.

And I agree, it shouldn't take this much effort to overturn Citizens United.

Reversing CU is going to have minimal effect. The system was bought out long before that. ITs going to take an absolute rebuild.

But at the rate the politicians are running things, its going to come.

Just make sure this time you DON"T cry disaster and help give em more bailouts ok? Bailouts only strengthen them.

If we let it fall apart in 08, we would be 5+ years into a REAL rebuild, and things would be on the up, instead of still going down.

Think of it like exercising. Pain today for strength tomorrow. What ever doesnt kill ya makes ya stronger.

[-] 2 points by ZenDog (20608) from South Burlington, VT 5 months ago

Bailouts? Bailouts? Oh yes, banks got bailed out, we got sold out - I'm familiar with the refrain.

And the repelican scum would have the automotive industry as a whole migrate to Europe and Japan, thus forcing the U.S. consumer to purchase an export - but with what money isn't clear since there would be no jobs left to provide Americans with the money to purchase IMPORTED automobiles.

YOu stupid bitch.

.

you fukin repelican snakes make me sick. Millions of Americans see about one third of their income eaten in tax, they live pay check to paycheck, while mouth pieces like you protect the 16 % paid by corporate ceos whose bonuses every year could probably provide clean drinking water throughout the entire third world

Fukin repelicans! Launch wars on two fronts, don't pay for it and what? I'll tell you what . . .Let gramma eat cat food, while we privatize her social security AND STEAL IT WITH DERIVATIVES.

you muther fukers.

Says the one living in a community where everyone can afford solar. I bet you own your own home too, dont ya? Dont talk down to me, you have no clue what you are talking about. Your generation took it all for yourselves and left everyone else with a big pile of shit!!

Go beg for another bailout at the expense of the next generation. And then tell everyone whose in school right now to forget about it, your own money is too important for you to be burdened with some sacrifice.

You;re just as sick as the Republicans you claim to hate.

[-] 0 points by HCHC4 (-28) 5 months ago

Sounds about right. The Senate will back it too.

Those are your peers in there, not mine.

Even with no interest, putting kids in 40k of debt for the chance at a crummy job is horribly fascist.

Let me know when one of your favorite puppets starts making some noise about it.

Ghadaffi didnt allow interest on loans in his country. But you took care of that, didnt ya.
