Forum Post: Is it just me-but has this OW Forum become just another Racist Topix forum?

In this day and age of racial diversity is it truly reasonable to have to tolerate these types of statements that "inflame" the senses and deviate from what OW stands for? Or is this just another rendition of the general mindset of those who are supportive of OW, yet harbor the same inbred racist attitudes? Should the "minority" races have no reason to expect anything different from OW?

points by elf3 (397) 16 hours ago Actually some of them got mis-trials due to technicalities and others small sentences because they wouldn't prosecute it as a racist hate crime ...the sentences could only be for so long they got off with papercuts for what they did aside from which that case has nothing to do with occupy nor does Travyon - but I'm sick of the black community sick to death - time to take responsibility for the stereotypes of violence that they cause and instead of blaming the terrorist thugs and demanding action - they protect them and excuse the behavior saying it's not their fault they raised their sons to become gang members - teach your children not to be criminals ? Guess that is racism huh? I think more like truth to idiocy. Anyone who lives near minority communities (even minorities - are afraid to live there) This is not peace in my eyes - how about making the best of a bad or poor situation not terrorizing you whole community and making everyone afraid while creating stereotypes and saying they have an excuse to commit crimes. I'm not saying it's a good law to be able to shoot people on sight nor saying Zimmerman isn't a fool or drowning in his own fear. I'm saying, when the entire black community starts to violently riot against whites for the crime of one man- Occupy is going to be attached at the hip and blamed for a connection and it will be over. Way to ruin an entire movement because of one idiot with a gun and all to defend the entire black community who will jump on this case as if everyone is racist and as if Zimmerman is representative of anyone without pure minority blood - because in truth they are racist themselves. Don't see them denigrating the acts of the thugs within their communities, instead making excuses for things like the Christian - Newsom murders while calling us all racist. Thanks for fucking up so big Occupy - Wall street will thank you too. I could be convinviced here. We should look at net worths too and see if the there is a trend based on net worth as well. So these are just the facts. ↥like ↧dislike reply permalink

Well, there's a lot of anti-Semites here and the usual liberal disrespect for blacks but I don;t think OWS is any more different than any other liberal group.

"THE GROUND TRUTH" : The Human Cost Of War.

Sometimes the greatest act of courage is to tell the truth ...

In the opening scenes of Patricia Foulkrod's powerful documentary, we're introduced to a number of young soldiers who speak candidly and powerfully about the motivations that led them to join the military. As their stories unfold, we hear their surprised reactions to boot camp and combat training as they were taught to dehumanize their enemy, to

"The Ground Truth" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ground_Truth ) - is a documentary film, that should be watched by everyone who has a friend, relative or loved one who's served - or is about to serve - in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Of course, US citizens fall for it every time. Distraction from the massive amount of political and financial summits in March, but the main story is Trayvon, Trayvon, Travon. Of course there should be an arrest, investigation and a jury trial. This almost goes without saying, yet the media actually expects us to believe that this is worth over a month's worth of airspace. Its important, but the entire world is falling apart. The media and politicians will play this case for the reasons they need for political reasons and the proof of that comes when you hear from the 6 witnesses that are being ignored...

The only thing really notable and topic worthy is the fact of the failure of the police department and the judicial process. This is a local case of malfeasance but it also reflects a national and world wide epidemic of no accountability and no responsibility.

Doing the job and doing it right for "EVERYONE" is the bottom line issue. This does go to the Federal level due to the fact that this is systemic in this Florida community. No it is not the only community in the USA like this - but it is now in the spotlight and if it is handled properly should also set a standard for addressing the rest of the country's lacking police and judicial processes.

I think it has to do with the high level of bigotry in the (R)epelican't party.

It's all over the media.

It's all over their debates and comments in the news.

CRIME IN LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, & THE UNITES STATES (Statistics below are based on the most recent available for specific years referenced)

While African Americans comprise 13.5% of the U.S. Population, 43% of all murder victims in 2007 were African American, 93.1% of whom were killed were African Americans.

Victimizations of African Americans from violent crime which include the following; rape/sexual assault, robbery, aggravated and simple Assault was 24.3% in 2007, with the highest percentages of victimizations within the age ranges of 15-24 totaling a percentage greater than 38%.

The U.S. Justice Department provides a breakdown of homicides by the race of both the victim and offender. Looking at the data for 2005 (the latest year available), we find that whites committed 48.0% of all murders and blacks committed 51.2% of all murders. However, whites outnumber blacks in the population. In fact, non-Hispanic whites are about 69% of the population and blacks are about 13%. These statistics alone, shows that blacks are 13% of the population, but commit 51.2% of the murders, indicate that blacks commit a seriously disproportionate number of murders."

Can you cross reference this with income, education and unemployment figures?

[-] 2 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 10 years ago

and state gun laws ?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 10 years ago

Quoting raw percentages without further analysis, seems to be something of a tactic lately.

There are many factors behind most percentage quotes made by anyone.

[-] 0 points by F350 (-259) 10 years ago

No,but thanks for asking.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 10 years ago

How about realistic levels of bigotry, in the areas mentioned?

How about localized population density compared to surrounding areas?

Can you think beyond cut and paste percentages.

[-] 0 points by F350 (-259) 10 years ago

How about accepting facts that may not agree with your ideology or narrative instead always defaulting to obfuscation and diversion.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 10 years ago

Oh smarty pants.

It's you using raw percentages to support an ideology, even if you are so ashamed of what that ideology is that you fail to clearly state it.

I'm just pointing out that there are many other factors that need be looked at in order to properly analyze such DATA.

I'm making no claims to ideology, just saying that the DATA is inconclusive for your purposes.

It indicates an obvious fact any way you slice or dice it.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 10 years ago

Only in a mind unable to think clearly.

Please, why don't you tell us what that fact is?

Die racist fool, the world will be a better place then, fact.
