This content is user submitted and not an official statement

See the HuffPost -

They have a great pair of photo's overlapped, and you can mouse-over to view before and after the melt; there is also a time lapse video depicting the melt. Finally, there is a slideshow documenting some of the effects of Global Warming.

The sum of this single page provides a very nice snapshot of the latest on Global Warming, and all of you deniers need not bother to review, simply because it is now quite obvious

YOU FUKERS ARE QUICKLY BECOMING

IRRELEVANT

That's what they say - but so far all of their conclusions have been woeful underestimates of the severity and the speed of Global Warming.

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (21783) 8 months ago

I think they know damn well but want to get as much money out of it as they can and then they worry about panic.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33128) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 months ago

Could be they are trying to get people used to the idea. When it happens - apathy - ' yeah they been sayin that would happen and looky-thar it did. Damn - now if only it was drinkable '

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (21783) 8 months ago

I think they know that it is happening much faster then they are currently professing. I don't think they are prepared for that. I don't think they have any idea how to contend with the extremity in weather. In fact, I'm not so sure that they can predict as much as they pretend.

[-] 2 points by ZenDog (20508) from South Burlington, VT 8 months ago

I think you've begun to confuse me with the various thems . . .

I'm sure there was political pressure, coming from a variety of sources, to water down the IPCC report and other public statements by scientists and scientific groups/organizations, due largely to the tremendous success of the fossil fuel industry and their promotion of denial.

Those fukers really should be shot.

In fact, anyone who knowingly promotes lies and confusion among the public should be shot - on the basis that such behavior amounts to nothing other than a treasonous usurpery of the public prerogative, to be accurately informed and on that basis to govern. One cannot govern on the basis of misconceptions and falsehoods. In a democracy, or a democratic republic such as ours, it is the people's obligation to lead, to rule,

  • and there are come among us treasonous usurpers intent on overthrow of the leadership of the people's kingdom, to lead the entire nation into bondage, to make of us captives, thralls, before the throne of lies and deceit, all in the name of greater profitability on a barrel of oil.

Well they themselves ( climate scientists ) said that they were woefully late on considering synergistic effects - and now - JOY - we got all this methane from fracking leakage to add in along with.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (21783) 8 months ago

Which makes fighting it so much more fun.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33128) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 months ago

Cause one of these days the unexpected unpredictable SHIT will hit the fan again and again and again. Hey are you enjoying a fine fall week? Temps here went from free sidewalk bar-b-Que just bring ur tongs and a piece of meat, oh and don't stand in one place too long - to a high of 60 degrees ( one day this week ) and other days not much higher. Last week and a half of July - hmmmmmmmmmm

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (21783) 8 months ago

Yeah, we had several days where the temps dropped. It was supposed to drop to a 40 overnight one night this past week.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33128) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 months ago

We had frost warnings in Northern Minnesota.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (21783) 8 months ago

Hope everyone got there fair share with the lies.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33128) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 months ago

Hmmm? Sorry it's gettin late for this cross-eyed old guy. I missed that one.

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (21783) 8 months ago

Denial. Scientists were paid, elected officials got paid.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33128) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 months ago

Oh the assholes with power influence and money - that have been fucking over the whole world. Gotcha. It would be nice to definitely know that their tender bits will take a beating in their own private hells.

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (21783) 8 months ago

One could only hope.

haha... as if human beings could ever contain the force of the cosmos; we need to get over ourselves.

[-] -1 points by eew70 (-2) 8 months ago

That is quite astounding. You speak with a frankness combined with kindness that is a real refreshing change from the regular run of environmental alarmism that seems to run rampant here. I would seriously consider voting for you if you ran for NYC mayor, provided that I never have to hear of you texting your schlong.

[-] 1 points by ZenDog (20508) from South Burlington, VT 8 months ago

yeah-ya

I'll text my kindness instead . . .

[-] -1 points by TikiJ (-38) 8 months ago

Who are the people you speak of? Those who accept money from Wall St and Big Oil to get re-elected to the fancy club?

One group doesnt want to admit it, the other wants to take your money to "solve" it.

I dont want anything to do with either of those proposals.

[-] 0 points by ZenDog (20508) from South Burlington, VT 8 months ago

Of course not you silly fuker and the reason why is quite plain - you don't want to do anything.

YOu should run for Congress. You would fit right in, you repelican you.

[-] -1 points by TikiJ (-38) 8 months ago

The bailouts your people approved could have put a solar system unit on every single house in the USA.

[-] 2 points by ZenDog (20508) from South Burlington, VT 8 months ago

I'm sure they could as easily have eliminated the possibility of foreclosure in literally millions of instances and yet repelicans - of every class strata - would not have it.

[-] 0 points by TikiJ (-38) 8 months ago

hmmm... who's approving the past 700 billion since November 2012?

Wrong on teh one that got it all started too:

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/110-2008/s213

If you guys are going to back any of these disasters, you had better at least admit that when given the chance, they do nothing you want them to.

Whats next, a rerun of your opinion on the Monsanto Protection Act... "They didnt have enough time to reeeeeead thaaaaaa biiiiiiiiillllll. "

Come on man, these guys ALL suck.

[-] -2 points by ZenDog (20508) from South Burlington, VT 8 months ago

you lyin scumbag

Kennedy may have sponsored it, but it passed 74-25 he was the only one with the guts to admit it was necessary and thus sponsor the bill.

you and your lies make me sick

you lie and

you lie and

  • you lie

why don't you go read something and leave me the fuck alone

[-] 1 points by forourfutures (393) 8 months ago

Principles instead of parties will end this kind of argument. The ones perpetuating the problem love it when this kind of disagreement happens.

Have either of you how to use your common principle to get what you need? Maybe there is an inundation of sensation of issue burning what could carry your common, quality principle to manifestation.

[-] -1 points by TikiJ (-38) 8 months ago

Now it was neccesary to bail out the banks?

What about QE1, 2, 3 and the current near 100billion per month?

Let me guess, someone has to have the guts to do it?

See, you can go around threatening to kill this person, and decapitate that one, based off of feelings and promises by talking heads, but the facts are the facts.

And the facts clearly show what is going on.

[-] 0 points by ZenDog (20508) from South Burlington, VT 8 months ago

the facts are an unfortunate and deplorable inconvenience for individuals such as yourself. The initial bailout of the banking system and of GM was indeed necessary. As for the rest it may be that a moratorium on foreclosures combined with other forms of economic stimulus was all that was required - I don't know I'm not an economist.

And IF I have threatened to kill anyone then you should gather a link and notify the authorities. But let there be no doubt - removing your head with a dull and rusty blade would be a pleasure . . .

[-] -2 points by TikiJ (-38) 8 months ago

"removing your head with a dull and rusty blade would be a pleasure . . "

THis combined with this is perfect: "....The initial bailout of the banking system....was indeed necessary...."

See folks, its the deranged that DO run the country.

[-] 2 points by ZenDog (20508) from South Burlington, VT 8 months ago

you are so fukin stupid or so fukin dishonest it is really unbelievable.

all of you scumbags should be lined up and shot.

you fukers

Despite all of the repelican protestations the initial bailout - which you linked to earlier - passed with 74 votes.

  • 74

and then Bush signed it.

And that all took place right after Leman Bros went belly up. If the initial round or two of bailouts had not taken place the entire economy would have gone belly up. Estimates run around 25% unemployment

  • and you lying Koch Suckers now try to deny it all and blame LIBERALS

you fukin scumbags should - you should all be shot

[-] -1 points by TikiJ (-38) 8 months ago

Anyone else watching this? Pathetic.

[+] -4 points by DKAtoday (33128) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 months ago

removing your head with a dull and rusty blade would be a pleasure . . .

Heeheheeee. How about - ever see a wire saw ? A rough wire with two metal loops - one at each end? Just for fun - what if that was a nylon string?

Daymn ZD but you are a bad influence........Heeheheeee.

[-] 1 points by ZenDog (20508) from South Burlington, VT 8 months ago

Now if only I could wave the flag when I say that, and get it to snap, just right . . . . I'm sure we could straighten this whole mess up in just a few months time . . .

[+] -5 points by DKAtoday (33128) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 months ago

And a proper breeze to carry a wif of fabreeze?

[+] -4 points by DKAtoday (33128) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 months ago

It was a good thing any aid package had been approved before OH-Bummer took office the 1st time as the corpoRATists ( sometimes referred to as republicans in office ) would have stone walled that too - though likely as they would have felt the package did not go far enough with the gravy train - unfortunately it was a benefit package for the criminals.

[-] 1 points by TikiJ (-38) 8 months ago

Nope, its been going on for the last 6 years, no end in sight.

QE1, QE2, Twist, and not QE Infinity (most would just call it what it is- robbing the public in broad daylight, with no end in sight).

Guess what happens to government and markets when they are 100% dependent on thieving?

[+] -4 points by DKAtoday (33128) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 months ago

Societies last and thrive when they operate to the benefit of "ALL" the PEOPLE. Societies are replaced/fail as they abuse their people. Most societies struggle to last 200 years - the USA just got past that milestone - but if government and business do not get back to reality - I do not see the USA surviving much longer.

Go away deniers - take some Valium and tune out. Reality appears to be too much for you to face.
