The Big Bang Theory season 5 continues this week with episode 12, "The Shiny Trinket Maneuver," and it looks like it could very well be an episode that will make Sheldon and Amy fans happy.

Big Bang Theory season 5 episode 12 "The Shiny Trinket Maneuver" promo

"Sheldon gets in trouble with Amy when he isn't impressed by her recent accomplishment, and Howard must come to grips with Bernadette's dislike of children."

Sheldon's going to have to learn how to be "boyfriend material" in this episode, and that is a big part of the preview out for the next episode. The Big Bang Theory promo for "The Shiny Trinket Maneuver" (below) begins with Howard apparently showing off magic tricks for the other guys, and when Sheldon, not amused, walks away, he proclaims, "Look, I made Sheldon disappear."

After that comes the first of two predictable lines from Leonard, this one about how he should've led off with that trick. The second comes after Sheldon tells him he's not "boyfriend material." It appears that this is about the fallout of him not being impressed with her accomplishment, and it looks like he's trying to make it up to her with a tiara.

It appears this may very well work—at least momentarily. How long can he distract her with the shiny tiara before she returns to the issue at hand? Whatever happens, there should be plenty of laughs in this episode, both involving Sheldon and Amy and with Howard's storyline as well.

If there has been one thing that has frustrated us over the years on "The Big Bang Theory," it's that Raj has typically been the most neglected in the field of romance despite him arguably being the guy who wants a special someone more than anything.

So are things going to get better for the character soon? Not exactly. According to TVLine, Raj will have a new love interest of sorts soon in Siri -- but unfortunately, his is really just going to be a voice that speaks to him on his iPhone. (It will, however, be a part of some sort of fantasy sequence akin to what happened last year with Bernadette and Bollywood.)

Unfortunately, there's no "Big Bang" set to air on Thursday night -- the show is going to return with new episodes as January 12, which is ironically the same day that NBC unveils its brand-new comedy lineup.
