We live in a NEW age. Facebook. Twitter. YouTube. That is ALL this Movement needs. Mainstream Media coverage invites blind editorial and rhetoric that will only weaken this Cause. When you get 1 million Facebook hits, 10 million Twitters hits, and 100 million YouTube hits... you can stare down the Mainstream Media and say to them, "No thanks, pal. You're too late. Go cover the 2012 Election. We've got WORK to do!" Don't EVER forget... Mainstream Media is under COMPLETE control of the U.S. Government. It's called FASCISM.
I agree. There can be much more productivity through interaction anyway. I can't debate with you over the 24 hours networks.
And on a side note... have you seen the new occupytogether.org site? You have to fill out a "why do you want to join" box and an admin has to approve you to get on and discuss the demand list. I want to make some noise about this. What an elitist way to conduct a revolution! what do you think?
Haha... so you thought you were really going to get a say? All these movements go the same way... "let's be democratic" "oh, we don't like those ideas, we want our ideas." "oh, we have better ideas" "oh, let only let those who are really smart make contributions" etc.
freedom movements, social clubs, high school class, government... all works that way.
wether it turns out that way or not, I am glad to be talking with people about it. I have learned a lot over the last week on this forum and if you get involved and be willing to admit you may be wrong, you could learn something also. This is so much better than silence. And you see now the pilot's union, the postal union, and the transportation union (38000 people) in NY are all with the protestors. There are occupy campaigns starting in many other US cities as well. People are pissed off and I don't think the US have ever seen a demonstration of this magnitude.
plus 50% of viewing time of MSM is taken up by bloody annoying commercial breaks! even the BBC has been polluted this way
