Plan to be raped. Yeah! What a world we live in.
And, Builder, shame on you for implying that OWS camps are anymore risky to a woman than just about any other situation.
I think it's a great idea for women.
It would be personal choice whether to use one or not.
There were several cases of sexual assault reported at #occupy camps, so, I actually thought this would be a great solution to feeling safer while out protesting for the long haul.
Apoligies if I offended anyone, and remember, the device was invented by a woman.
I will say that you've offended me to infer that my fellow occupiers are a bunch of rapists. Not true. I would never wear one of those things. That is just gross. What the hell is wrong with this world? I'm disappointed, builder, that you've inferred this.
ok I'm not offended but I'm not sure what relevance this has on OWS
At several #occupy campouts there have been rapes of women, and reports of rapes unconfirmed. With this device (at $2 per, quite affordable) available, there would be no chance of the same nasty damaging incident happening again.
Would you agree?
interesting were these women somehow to far enough away from the camps to get help. or even worse were their cries for help ignored ? and yes that makes it relevant
I understand your question, and yes, that does make it relevant. I'm at a loss to provide you with the answers you seek, but hope that someone closer to the scenario can help out here.
I'm in Australia, and only have such knowledge of these attacks from reading this forum.
