the president Zelaya was trying to get re-elected when the constitution prohibited a second term. I guess its ok if communist cheat the system to get elected (like Chavez does). Chavez has obviously not shut down the opposition. He has won several open and provable elections (as opposed to G.W. Bush, who never actually won a presidential election). When the U.S. backed fascists (remember our military empire hates freedom and democracy everywhere) staged a coup and arrested him, the people rose up and forced them to back down.
