7 men gang rape a woman at a bus stop in India. This comes after the death of another rape victim. This is a war on women, not making them pay a co-pay on their birth control

I wonder how far this would have gone had that video not been uploaded.

Very interesting point. I shudder to think how many other villages, around the country, have the same diligent sleuths in their law enforcement communities.

I thought I read Anon hacked the phone.

.....Moreover, they claim the alleged rape occured at prosecutor Jane Hanlin’s home, and that her son may have been involved.....

....When the family of the victim went to file the charges, Jane Hanlin [the prosecutor] was present. She strongly discouraged them from filing. Hanlin frightened not only the victim, but the parents as well. Telling them that her name was going to be dragged through the mud, she will be in and out of court for well over two years, the press wouldn’t leave any of the family alone once the crime was made public. Scared out of their wits, the parents said they didn’t want that and Hanlin then said not to worry just leave it up to her and the detectives on the case....

That is jacked up and, even more so, that it's all about the football and the prosecutor.

"Why did no one stand up for this girl? Why?" Davison said. "That is a bigger conversation."

How many backwater villages are there in America, where you need not go further than the home of your nearest "County Prosecutor" to find a rapist?

I'd wager there are many.

And I'm going to tell you why. Alcohol. They can take that and flip "responsibility" real quick.

Right here in the Good Ole US of A. Likely closer to you than you would ever think possible.

...In the 1990s its police developed such a reputation for violence, false arrest and abuse that the federal government was forced to step in. The US Department of Justice found the people most likely to be targeted were those that dared criticise the police or the city government....

FFS, read the comments from the parents of the teachers telling the kids what to say.

[-] 1 points by FawkesNews (1290) 11 years ago

If a teacher says such things to students about another student, is that a crime against children? Should there not be some sort of database so communities can look up dangerous educators?

Isn't that basically a phone book school listing in any southern ( red ) State?

[-] 1 points by FawkesNews (1290) 11 years ago

Thanks for the laugh.

He said/she said won't work. We cannot allow that to happen.

[-] 1 points by FawkesNews (1290) 11 years ago

When they're town has only 18,440 people, they cannot feign ignorance, yet, they complain about bad publicity and hackers. Reminds of some sci-fi in Rod Serling script.

small link to bunch of crap

The national dialogue that has occurred regarding sexual assault and alcohol or drug use indicates that the response is pretty normal. Most people that I have encountered seem to disregard any sexual assault that occurs with alcohol. It means that she gave consent.

The problem is that you will find many women or girls that do not come forward or go further because they have come to believe the same and spend years torturing themselves.

[-] 1 points by FawkesNews (1290) 11 years ago

Yikes. I believe that national dialogue is changing.

Perhaps in small towns there still remains what it is you speak of, The actions of this particular small town have already brought the FBI into an investigation on police misconduct. I think the FBI ought expend resource in places like that rather places like this.

What goes on in America is known as "creating a problem that doesn't exist"

This is not India. While what is happening in India is horrendous, do not attempt to guilt me or any other woman by some kind of jacked up comparison between countries.

LOL - if you ever saw him with hair - you would flip - ummm - just sayin - it is not a common look for him.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

I just had to look him up with hair. I don't remember him and may not have seen him in anything with hair.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

There was an old gangster movie - if I am rememberizing correctly - this was prior to the 1st time he ever shaved his head for a part. After he shaved his head and got the crowd reaction he never did stop shaving his head.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Wiki (the holiest of all sources-I know) marks that head shaving with the King and I.

Just putting things in perspective for you

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Highlander, you lack perspective. You can't put what you don't have anywhere. Thanks but no thanks.

[+] -4 points by highlander (-163) 11 years ago

No guilt intended. I just imagine a women in India, where the caste system is endemic, or any islamic nation that considers itself devout, laughing hysterically at what gets passed for women's discrimination here. Much like the villager in a thatch-covered shack in Africa would probable laugh at what a welfare recipient here considers poverty.

[-] 0 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Would that be an African country where Libertopia was sent to exist?

We don't play that game here. That you should be so lucky game. STFU. It doesn't belong here. You really are a dirt bag.
