Please send me your names if you have been attacked in a major way in the last week or so - like a loss of a 100 points over night.
I have contacted the abuse site and they will be happy to restore those points.
But here is the real important thing - it may also expose some sockpuppets.
I already know of a couple of victims but if you would like to be included on the correction please let me know by responding to this post.
Shills need not apply.

I am afraid that the Best comments board is under attack - I sent a note off to the abuse address.
I think the first guess applies here tho' you deserve the latter. Nothing personal DKAt but BCT is the shop window & someone wanted to clog it with fluff and make a point re. your forum-post. As we all agree here, the aggregate points are of little &/or questionable use but BCT has a first glance. 'shop window' value for visitors and regulars.

Anyway, watched a couple minutes of Rifle man on public tv. Funny the woman was lying about someone that had hit her or took some money or something. The sherif and the the fifle man came in and wanted the truth in the last 5 minutes... and this is when I tuned in. Apparently the brother & father were living the big life, and beat her. But this new man even though he hit her, she wanted to marry him and live with him since he was an easier man to get a long with.
Very different perspective or paradigm. Family as hard and tough. Stranger as opportunity and tough love. All confused with a lie. Well maybe it was a stereo type at the time of production. But there maybe a similarity to the US Congress.

I have a question...I remember being able to vote in favor of someone's comment but I haven't done that lately because it seemed like the only link I could click was the neg. sign. how do you vote + ? I think something changed in the system during the few months that I was not on here.
I don't put any stock in counting ' friends' and votes but the way I used to use the option was to vote in an effort to move the message to the ' best comments' section for others to see if I felt it was xtra important or worthy of reading. Plus, I appreciate it when someone takes the time to post information and such.

It is not about the points - it is about attackers.
Why should "points matter". I though Occupy wanted everyone to be equal - regardless of whom they were?
Apparently that's not the case when you "classify" like this site does with "points". I guess it gives people with more points "more credibility" then those without.
They also like some semblance of democracy and all ideas are not of equal value.
It would be nice perhaps to have values in between twinkle and stinkle, but it's freeware. So we work with what we have.
Placing a value on someones "idea" or "comment" because you agree or disagree is similar to "child like behavour" instead of "adult behaviour".
I have yet to come across any other site on the web where "people are voted on" based on their comments or ideas".
Is the "point" voting issues used on thise site to make one feel good or better then someone else when they have a lot of points compared to someone who doesn't

I'm going to bed pretty quick - so if you want to perhaps help get some forum attackers booted - just send me a PM if you were attacked for a loss of about 100 pts on an overnight basis - or through a short period of time while you were actually on the forum and noticed the loss or If you know of an individual that this happened to. This to have happened no longer then in the last two weeks.

If you were attacked - don't speak up for the lost points sake - speak-up to get attackers found and booted. Thanks.
Another point of interest - when an attacker is found and booted the votes they did get removed. So if you were wondering why your score may have jumped from time to time ( upwards ) - that was likely why.
